Form group names during creation versus rename

In GiveCampus giving forms, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.

Creating a form-level designation group requires a nonblank name of at most 255 characters and checks case-insensitive, trimmed-name uniqueness against all project groups. The rename/update workflow does not repeat that uniqueness check. A temporary-name-then-rename workaround can therefore mask a conflicting group; inspect existing and synced groups rather than recommending duplicate ambiguous names. Capture the exact validation response for a specific failure.
