Staff notes do not automatically copy to recurring installments

These steps are for administrators with permission to manage gifts.

A staff Contribution Note is attached to one contribution. Later installments can carry donor additional fields forward, but do not automatically copy staff notes. This explains why a donor comment can recur while a staff resolution note does not appear on each later payment. Keep the resolution on the parent and in the institution’s authoritative processing record, and have staff consult that record; do not assume a native note-on-all-future-installments control. Review any correction of stale donor comments separately while preserving audit history.
