Understand event ticket price and fair-market-value locks

Open Events → Events → select your event → Edit Event → Ticketing to review the affected ticket type or package.

Why price or fair-market value is locked

Ticket-type price and fair-market value (FMV) cannot be changed once non-incomplete, non-preview tickets have been issued. A free or fully discounted test registration can still issue a ticket, so no charge does not mean the price remains editable. Draft event status does not unlock a used ticket.

Package locks check for non-incomplete package registrations and do not apply the same preview exclusion. If the object is a package, have Support review its associated registrations, including reserved or preview records.

Set a different price for future registrations

Create a replacement ticket option at the intended price/FMV and hide the old option where permitted. Keep at least one ticket or package visible. Preview the offered choices and capacity. Existing purchases keep their recorded values; changing future options does not retroactively charge free attendees or correct prior receipts.

Do not delete issued registrations to bypass a lock. For historical accounting or receipt corrections, ask Support to review the affected tickets, package, and payments. Refunding, canceling, or archiving does not automatically erase the dependencies.
