Background positioning differs between editor and public preview on a giving form

In GiveCampus giving forms, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.

The editor preview uses a cover background: the image fills the available area and can crop differently at different dimensions. Background Image Position sets the alignment of that crop, not a free-moving image offset. If the image already fills the area without spare crop on an axis, an alignment change may not visibly move it on that axis.

Save the correct form step, then compare the public form at the intended desktop and mobile widths. The pre-payment, payment and post-payment steps save separate positions. For a persistent mismatch, collect the image dimensions, selected position, viewport and both views; these facts are needed before identifying a particular image-size or rendering defect.
