Distinguish gift receipt sender, display name and reply-to address

In GiveCampus giving forms, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.

The ordinary paid-gift notification takes its display name and origin email from the selected template or project fallback. For an institution email outside the configured GiveCampus sending domains, the delivery layer uses the GiveCampus transactional sender and puts the institution's origin address in Reply-To. A school display name therefore does not mean the underlying From address is the school's mailbox.

Use the relevant active template's reply-to/name settings for replies and displayed identity, and test the actual gift message. Changing a reply-to field does not mean a custom sending domain for ordinary receipts. The custom-origin exception is specific to gift-officer notifications; Outreach/domain authentication features must not be generalized to all donation receipts. Support should evaluate any requested custom receipt sender rather than promise that entering an address enables it.
