Understand event promo-code usage limits

In GiveCampus Events, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.

A code's Limit is shared across registrations using that code; it is not a per-person allowance or a count of individual tickets. The feature counts registration records associated with the code. This count includes associated registrations that are not yet complete. With a limit of 1, another registration cannot apply the code once that association count reaches 1.

The code must be within its start/end window and below its limit when applied. Names are matched without case sensitivity and surrounding spaces are trimmed. An inactive, unknown, or exhausted code produces “Invalid promo code.” If usage looks unexpected, ask support to inspect associated registration records rather than assuming the number equals paid orders.
