Required affiliation with an optional class year for an event

In GiveCampus Events, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.

In the Events affiliation field, a required affiliation field also validates a selected affiliation’s dropdown value or write-in response. It does not offer a separate require-affiliation-but-optional-year switch. For an editable affiliation, consider removing its dropdown or collecting the year in a separate optional question, after reviewing school-wide effects. Where available, Allow Multiple and Selection Limit support several values within one affiliation. Protected default affiliations require the appropriate supported configuration rather than an ordinary rename/delete.
