Renaming versus canceling and identifier reuse for an event

In GiveCampus Events, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.

Edit an existing event's name to shorten its title; cancellation and recreation are not required for a name change. The event Unique Identifier is unique within the school, without excluding canceled records. A canceled original can therefore prevent a new event from using the same identifier. Use a distinct identifier for a genuinely separate event or ask Support to review both records before altering identity/state. Shortening the title does not guarantee a specific line wrap on every screen.
