Create and troubleshoot designation-prefilled links

In GiveCampus giving forms, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.

In a supported content-link picker, select the campaign/form and Autofill link, then add a designation field and select the choice. Use the generated link and verify the form result; this preselects within a form rather than creating a separate fund page.

The picker distinguishes designation-name from backend ID search. Enter a nonblank term: an empty query returns no results, and only nodes on the selected project are searched. A readable name in backend ID mode may not match. Confirm the target and search mode first.

A failed request differs from no matches. Capture the visible error if needed. Do not insert an unrelated designation ID into an arbitrary URL or invent a parameter for write-in text; that specific prefill flow needs confirmation from Support.
