What receives the discount for an event

In GiveCampus Events, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.

The checkout stores one promo code per registration. A percentage discount applies to the eligible registration cost; a fixed-dollar discount is capped at that eligible cost. Eligible cost includes event tickets and packages, with activities and add-ons included only when the code's setting enables them. The additional gift is added after the discounted cost.

A 100% promo code does not mean “two complimentary guests”: it discounts all eligible cost in that registration. For two complimentary tickets within a larger order, a fixed-dollar discount equal to the intended ticket value may fit the organizer's policy. Verify ticket prices, package pricing, eligible items, and the checkout total first; this does not reserve the discount for two named attendees. The interface does not select individual guests to discount. Do not prescribe separate registrations as the only solution.
