Sample event details in an Outreach test email

In GiveCampus Events, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.

The test-email preview substitutes sample data, including 2025 Annual Gala for the event-name tokens and generated example dates. Seeing that event or a different date in a test is not by itself evidence that the sequence is linked to the wrong event. Real delivery uses the recipient's stored merge substitutions instead of the preview substitutions.

The actual event start/end date token generators read the event attached to the recipient's Event Registration record. The displayed dates use the event's timezone. Check the recipient's merge values and intended event before sending; preview samples do not prove every recipient has a usable value. These date tokens do not provide a separate event-time token. Review missing recipient values instead of bypassing missing-token exclusions.
