Renaming events and already distributed links

In GiveCampus Events, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.

The event's long URL permalink is generated from its name. Changing the event name can therefore change the landing-page path; an unrelated edit does not necessarily change the path. Tracked shortened links associated with the event are updated in the background, preserving query parameters. Do not assume that every old long URL redirects, or that a queued update has already completed. Before distributing printed materials, verify the exact intended link; investigate any existing intermittently failing link directly.
