Private waitlist invitations versus closed registration

In GiveCampus Events, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.

Use Waitlist → Invite for an existing waitlisted registration. It sends an expiring private token tied to that registration and can admit it past the capacity/waitlist gate. The normal active-event/registration-date-window check still applies: the token does not override canceled/inactive events or a closed date window. Distinguish capacity closure from date closure before promising VIP access. Offline entry is not an automatically generated pay-later invoice. Admin-created registrations have a separate checkout workflow; their edit URL is not a generic public VIP link. Cloning makes a separate event rather than a private entrance to the original.
