Limit a session while retaining physical overflow space for an event

In GiveCampus Events, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.

For a sub-event implemented as an Activity, set Overall guest limit for this activity to the desired public enrollment cap, such as 28. This covers that activity across its ticket types. A ticket type's Guest Limit instead caps the number of that particular ticket type available; it is not a per-registration cap. The parent event's overall limit applies to the whole event.

The activity availability calculation accounts for sold and reserved tickets and the ticket-type limits. A room that physically holds 34 does not require a public online limit of 34. If staff later need to use six overflow spaces, review existing reservations and the supported administrator/capacity workflow; do not assume an automatic six-seat reserve or capacity bypass.
