Offer a pay-at-the-door registration option

In GiveCampus Events, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.

A paid online ticket still requires checkout; there is no general bypass that turns its unpaid card checkout into an amount paid. If the institution intends to collect payment at the event, create a separate $0 ticket type and clearly name/describe it as pay at the door, including the amount due, accepted collection method and check-in instructions. Keep the normal paid ticket for people paying online if both options are needed.

The $0 ticket price displays Free; renaming the ticket does not rename this computed price label. Explain the off-platform amount in the ticket description and event copy so Free is not mistaken for waived admission. Paid activities, add-ons or an optional donation can still require checkout. Record and reconcile money collected at the door through the institution's approved collection process; a free registration is not a record of a settled payment.
