Understand payment options on recurring and one-time forms

This article covers donor accounts and gift checkout in GiveCampus.

Payment options depend on the processor, school and form settings, gift type, currency and browser/device capability. Draft versus active status alone is not a sufficient explanation for every missing option. Identify the actual missing method and form before changing configuration.

In the ordinary giving flow:

• Cash App requires school enablement, a one-time non-recurring gift and USD.
• PayPal requires eligible school configuration, a one-time gift, USD, no pledge and a form that is not recurring-only.
• DAFpay requires enabled form configuration, USD, no donor-covered fee, no pledge, no match/challenge, no recurrence and no incentive/reward.
• Cryptocurrency also has one-time/non-recurring, fee and pledge restrictions.
• Apple Pay/Google Pay use a separate Stripe payment-request path. The feature and school/form settings must permit wallet checkout, the gift must not be a match or challenge, and the browser must support the wallet. Choosing a recurring gift does not universally disable wallets. Check the actual recurring checkout to see which eligible wallets are displayed.

These rules do not assume every method in every processor or specialized pledge/membership interface. Compare the actual form and browser. Stored-payment identity and Stripe Link are separate from whether an Apple Pay button appears; do not assume a new verification code for every checkout.
