How to use
Use Data Management to inspect missing-CRM-data records and the supported identifier settings. Review whether identifiers must be padded with leading zeros before importing new files. Custom Fields and Donor Status Configurations have separate management views; review the people affected by a status configuration.
Rules
The Constituent Identifier Length setting accepts blank or a number from 0 to 50. Changing a nonblank length queues updates for existing constituents; the success message states that updates are in progress. Saving the setting does not mean every record has already been rewritten.
Troubleshooting
Compare the original source identifier, configured length, imported value, and external-system identifier. Do not “fix” an identifier by changing it to another person’s value. The missing-CRM-data area includes deletion controls; inspect dependencies and intended scope before removing records.
Availability and limitations
Exact person matching/merge rules and custom-field propagation are not determined by the screen alone. Escalate duplicate/misidentified constituent cases with source and record identifiers.
