Capacity changes and waitlist invitations

In GiveCampus Events, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.

The invitation path is an administrator action; increasing capacity does not itself call the invitation operation. Review the waitlist and invite the intended registrant through the authorized control. Invitations expire according to the event's configured hours; a repeat invitation renews that expiration.

Waitlist activation can depend on the overall guest limit or a sold-out ticket type configured to trigger the waitlist. Unexpired incomplete waitlist registrations can also keep it active. Increase the limit that actually prevents the intended registration; increasing overall capacity does not automatically increase a sold-out ticket type's allotment, and changing a ticket allotment does not raise the overall cap. Review both before inviting guests.
