Availability: Nametag printing is currently in beta and is not generally available. The printing steps below apply only to participating institutions whose access and supported printer setup have been confirmed by GiveCampus. If Nametags is missing, contact Support to confirm availability; changing an administrator role alone does not enroll your institution in the beta. A general release date has not been confirmed.
In GiveCampus Events, available controls depend on your assigned administrator role(s), access to the event, and the interface used by your institution.
How to use
Open Events → Events → select the event → Event Attendance. Use Search Guests to locate the attendee and use the row’s check-in action. On the mobile attendance screen, select Scan QR Code to scan a registration QR code. Review the updated check-in state before moving to the next guest.
For activity attendance, use Select Activity to check in on Event Attendance. The feature can update the activity ticket separately and can also include the overall event check-in when that option is selected. These are not automatically identical attendance records.
For name tags, open Edit Event → Nametags when available, configure the layout, review Preview, and use Test Print before printing for guests. Click Save and Next to save the layout. On Event Attendance, Select Printer appears when multiple active printers are available. Nametags requires the school’s supported printer setup.
Troubleshooting
An event view-only role does not provide check-in or report export. Events Check-in Admin allows check-in but does not itself allow event-report exports. Verify that the guest is on a completed registration and that the correct event/activity is selected. For printing, collect the printer selected, preview outcome, and exact error; confirm which hardware is supported for your setup.
Which administrator roles can do this?
The roles that can check in attendees are Superadmin, Events Superadmin, Advanced Events Admin, Basic Events Admin, Events Check-in Admin. The person must also have access to the relevant event. To change staff access, a Superadmin or Events Superadmin opens Events → Administrators → select the person → Role(s), assigns the appropriate role, and checks Events Access. Partners cannot add this action to an existing role by changing its individual permissions.
