Check creator access after cloning an event

In GiveCampus Events, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.

In the clone flow, the new draft records the current user as creator. When the school's event-permissions configuration applies, a creator without all-event access is assigned through a system-created event group. Therefore do not state that a Basic Events administrator must always inherit only the original template owner's access or can never see a clone.

If the creator cannot open the clone, ask support to inspect the actual creator, school, role, event-group membership and any creation error. The current interface does not mean how a historical clone was configured or deployed. An authorized administrator can review the intended event-specific access without granting unnecessary access to every event.

Creating or editing events and managing other administrators are separate permissions. The event-administrator area uses administrator-management authorization; ordinary editing access does not itself grant the ability to share an event with every coworker. Ask an authorized access manager to grant the appropriate event/group access when that control is unavailable.
