Understand and hide optional donor account prompts

This article covers donor accounts and gift checkout in GiveCampus.

The giving-form header offers Sign in or create donor account, with shorter Sign in wording on mobile. It is optional in the ordinary guest-giving flow. The header prompt is hidden for a registered signed-in user or by the relevant school-level feature configuration. Ask support to review the exact form and intended hiding scope; do not invent a per-form public checkbox or conclude that different screenshots prove different settings without comparing signed-in state.

The post-gift account/association prompt has separate hiding rules by form type. Hiding the header alone does not prove every account prompt disappears. Accounts support authenticated profile, gift history and eligible saved-payment/recurring-management actions, but do not imply that every historical gift from the institution's CRM appears automatically.

The institution's alumni portal, institutional SSO and a GiveCampus donor account may be different systems. A change to the school's giving page does not confirm migration of old alumni class pages or account records. Use the correct login/recovery flow for the intended service.

For where donor data is hosted, retained or protected, use approved privacy/security materials. Never ask a donor to share their password, reset link or verification code.
