Understand the Test Donor and $100 shown in campaign preview

What preview does

The campaign payment-preview and post-payment-preview actions build an unsaved example gift named Test Donor with a value of $100. This can appear even when you entered a different name or amount earlier in preview. It is example data used to render the preview screens.

That preview is not evidence that a real donation was charged, saved, exported, or mapped correctly in a CRM. Use preview to inspect the form and content. To test payment processing or CRM mapping, arrange an authorized transaction-testing process with your team or support and verify the resulting real gift and export records. Do not use a preview confirmation screen as proof of a successful end-to-end integration test.

Troubleshooting

First confirm the URL is a preview flow. If a live checkout shows another person's details, investigate separately; this article does not mean that a live-data issue is harmless.
