Use Campaign Setup → Images & Display → Custom Video Thumbnail to upload the image that should appear on your campaign video. Do not upload it as Campaign Image under Basics: that control switches the main campaign media area to an image and can hide your uploaded video.
If you already uploaded your intended thumbnail as a campaign image:
- Go to Campaign Setup → Basics and scroll to the bottom of the page.
- In Campaign Video / Image, find Upload Campaign Image and click Remove Image. This restores video display if your campaign video is still uploaded.
- Go to Campaign Setup → Images & Display and upload your image in Custom Video Thumbnail.
- Save your changes and preview the campaign page to confirm the video plays and the intended thumbnail appears.
Custom Video Thumbnail appears only when a video is uploaded and video display is enabled. If it is missing after you uploaded a campaign image, remove that campaign image first using the steps above. Confirm the video is still present under Campaign Setup → Basics.
For the thumbnail, use PNG, JPG or JPEG. The recommended dimensions are 630 × 350 pixels, or a similar ratio to reduce cropping. After saving, preview the video. An uploaded thumbnail also exposes Sync Video Thumbnail for the supported video update workflow; contact Support if the thumbnail does not update.
Custom Campaign Card is a separate image, with recommended dimensions of 600 × 400 pixels (3:2). Prelaunch and tiered pages also have separate media settings. These instructions describe the classic campaign settings.
Remove the custom thumbnail while keeping the video
In the classic Campaign Setup → Images & Display → Custom Video Thumbnail control, you can upload a replacement image and use Sync Video Thumbnail when offered. This control does not include a remove-custom-thumbnail button. If you want the custom thumbnail cleared rather than replaced, contact Support.
Do not click Remove Video to solve this request: that removes the campaign video itself. Remove Image under Basics removes a campaign image that can cover the video; it is not the same as clearing the custom video thumbnail.
