In GiveCampus Events, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.
Rules
Publishing requires a draft event, an image, contact fields, and either virtual format or a location name. Check all of these requirements even if the error message mentions only contact fields.
An event can be unpublished when complete, or when active with no non-incomplete event tickets. Cancellation requires an active event that has not ended. Archiving is available for draft, complete, or canceled states; an archived event can be restored.
Canceling an event only queues refunds when the refund-payments option is selected. Cancellation with existing payments requires the relevant refund authorization. A queued refund is not proof that every refund has completed.
How to use
Create/edit the event, finish its basic details and registration configuration, and use Publish when ready. Review the live event page after success. Use the separate unpublish, archive, restore, clone, or cancel actions for the intended outcome.
Troubleshooting
Check all publication requirements, not just the wording of the error. For cancellation, verify state, dates, payments, permission, and the selected refund option.
