Choose ticket limits under one overall event capacity

In GiveCampus Events, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.

Set Overall Guest Limit to the maximum number of people the event can admit. Individual ticket-type limits are separate allocations, not a number that must be repeated to create overall capacity. If any attendee may choose any type, the types can be unlimited while the overall limit remains enforced. If a type needs its own quota, set that lower type limit too.

For example, an overall limit of 700 with four ticket types each set to 700 does not authorize 2,800 attendees. The availability calculation takes the smaller of total ticket inventory and overall capacity and subtracts attending/reserved tickets. If a particular screen still shows 2,800, verify the saved overall limit, whether the figure is a sum of type inventory, package attendee counts and reservations; a screenshot total alone does not prove the overall cap was bypassed.
