A permalink is the URL-friendly name used in a page's web address, also called its URL slug. For example, in https://www.givecampus.com/schools/ExampleSchool/day-of-giving/pages/athletics, day-of-giving is the campaign permalink and athletics is the tier-page permalink. The visible page title and its permalink are distinct values.
A full URL contains these readable names. If a rename changes the permalink, an old full URL containing the previous permalink can stop working. Update links that use the old address, including full tracking URLs with query parameters. Changing only a visible title while the permalink stays the same does not break the URL.
A GiveCampus short sharing link, such as https://www.givecampus.com/s/ABC123, uses a unique ID instead of the campaign or page name. Existing campaign-associated short links retain that ID, and GiveCampus updates their stored destinations through a background process when campaign URLs change. They are intended to continue working after a rename. Verify the actual short link after the update has processed, especially for tier pages; this does not guarantee external shorteners or every copied URL will update.
For an existing tiered landing page, changing only its name preserves its existing permalink. Therefore, both its unchanged full URL and its short sharing links should continue to work. If you also edit the tier's permalink, or rename the parent campaign so its permalink changes, check the resulting full URL and test existing sharing links. Do not assume that every name change changes a tier page's URL.
