Monthly data files versus live funds

Do not assume uploading gift-history designation data creates or updates the live checkout designation catalog. Imported designation selections are children of imported gifts and are distinct from live designations and form offerings. Determine the file's configured record type and mapping before promising synchronization. Reconcile new fund identifiers against the live catalog and the relevant form offerings; a monthly upload's actual behavior requires its configuration.
