Affiliation import unexpectedly requires names - email

For GiveCampus constituent data and imports.

The Constituent – Biographical Data record configuration requires First Name, Last Name and Preferred Email. Constituent – Affiliations separately requires Affiliation Name, with optional Affiliation Value, linked through the configured parent constituent identifier. Importing affiliations does not inherently make those biographical fields affiliation fields; if the configuration includes a biographical record, its required mappings still apply even for existing people. Review the configuration’s record types and use an approved affiliation-only mapping where appropriate, testing stable-ID matches before import.
