Offline Gifts is absent under Manage Gifts

This article covers GiveCampus campaign administration. Available controls can vary between the classic and redesigned campaign interfaces.

In the campaign sidebar, Offline Gifts is its own entry, separate from Manage Gifts, and is available to Advanced Campaign Admin, Crowdfunding Admin, Fundraising Superadmin and Superadmin for campaigns they can access. Basic Campaign Admin does not include this action. If quoted instructions place it beneath Manage Donations, inspect the current campaign sidebar/interface and the person’s assigned role and campaign access. Do not conclude that the feature is missing merely because it is not a submenu of Manage Gifts.

Can I record an offline gift on a Giving Form linked to an event?

No. Offline gifts can be added to a Social Fundraising campaign, but cannot be added or uploaded to a standalone Giving Form. Linking a Giving Form to an event does not change this limitation. This also applies to an offline DAF gift received outside GiveCampus.

For a campaign, open Online Giving → Campaigns → select the campaign → Offline Gifts. Offline Gifts is a separate sidebar option from Manage Gifts and requires one of the roles above; partners cannot enable an individual offline-gift permission inside another role. A Giving Form will not have this campaign workflow; changing its event gift-attribution settings will not enable it.

Keep an externally received gift in your institution’s gift records. If it also needs recognition on an appropriate fundraising campaign, record it as an offline gift on that campaign. This does not deposit or charge money through GiveCampus. Offline Registrations in Events records event registrations; it does not add an offline gift to a Giving Form.
