This article covers GiveCampus campaign administration. Available controls can vary between the classic and redesigned campaign interfaces.
An online/prelaunch campaign cannot be archived directly. The campaign settings expose an End date. Scheduled finishing handles expired online donor/dollar campaigns; after the campaign actually finishes, use its eligible Archive action. Confirm permissions, locks and saved state rather than repeatedly clicking Archive. Review outstanding matches/challenges and the intended donor destination before closing a campaign, because finishing can trigger closeout behavior.
For an eligible giving form, Archive is separate from removing a menu link. The public new-checkout action redirects an archived form through the school Donate route, which can send the visitor to another active GiveCampus campaign or backup form. Therefore archiving one form is not a schoolwide shutdown. Verify all intended public entry points while signed out. Back to Draft is a different operation and is not a universal substitute, especially for standalone/general forms.
Existing recurring subscriptions have their own state and scheduler and are not canceled merely by archiving a form or campaign. No lifecycle change should be described as a refund. If the goal is to stop all new school intake, or use an arbitrary external destination, have support inspect the complete configured paths rather than promise a single archive action accomplishes it.
