Explain Offer a Match and Offer a Challenge on a prelaunch page

The prelaunch settings disable Make a Gift Early, Offer a Match and Offer a Challenge unless the campaign is online. The help text says the campaign must be launched before users can make gifts on the prelaunch page. Publishing the prelaunch presentation and allowing transactions on the underlying campaign are separate considerations; do not advise launching a campaign solely to inspect a setting.

When enabled, Offer a Match and Offer a Challenge link into the campaign's contribution flow with that offer type. They are not described by this option as a nonbinding contact request that an administrator must accept or deny. The donor supplies the offer through the transaction flow and receives its confirmation. If the school wants staff to discuss terms before an offer is submitted, arrange that process separately rather than promising a built-in approval queue.
