Editing an offline gift versus adding an aggregate adjustment

Edit the actual offline record when correcting that record's amount or affiliation. The edit action saves the record but does not run the new-gift match-increment operation shown in the creation action. Do not assume editing replays its impact on matches/challenges. Adding the same dollars as an aggregate adjustment can double-count once the individual amount is included.

If totals remain inconsistent, have support reconcile saved individual amounts, aggregate adjustments, affiliation values, match awards and cached/final totals before deleting or re-uploading. Deleting/recreating a gift can change matching and history; it is not a universal first troubleshooting step.
