This article covers GiveCampus campaign advocacy. Available controls depend on the campaign interface and enabled advocacy features.
Advocate Unique Link in the Outreach link creator uses a campaign-specific merge token. When rendered for a recipient, that token generates the recipient's advocate link; it is not a picker for one fixed advocate whose link should be sent to everyone. A missing person dropdown in that flow is therefore not by itself a broken selector.
If every recipient should use one coach's existing advocate link, use that URL as the button's ordinary link destination rather than the recipient-specific advocate token. Preserve its attribution parameters and test the final email link before sending. Do not replace the selected campaign ID inside the merge token with a user's advocate ID; they serve different purposes. A fixed advocate URL and an individual recipient's generated URL have different attribution intentions.
Outreach advocate link
Use the campaign-specific advocate URL merge token as the link destination, $Advocate_URL[CAMPAIGN_ID]$, with the intended campaign ID, or the editor's Advocate Unique Link control. It resolves to the recipient's tracked advocate link when the campaign and eligible user can be resolved. Preview/test real recipient context; missing mappings do not produce a valid link. $Advocate_Page_URL[CAMPAIGN_ID]$ is a separate personal-page option.
