Tier-specific advocate link builder returns to the campaign

This article covers GiveCampus campaign advocacy. Available controls depend on the campaign interface and enabled advocacy features.

The advocacy-link-builder route requires the school's tiered advocacy link builder feature. When it is disabled, the route redirects to the ordinary campaign page. Appending that path to a URL does not enable the feature. Ask support to confirm availability for the school.

When available, the builder looks up an advocate connected to that campaign by email and offers the main campaign plus online tier pages as destinations. Creating a generic account alone is not proof of that campaign association. Confirm the board member's campaign advocate record, choose the intended online tier, and test the generated link/attribution before sharing. An unpublished tier need not appear in the destination list.

Tiered advocate link builder eligibility

The separate Tiered Advocacy Link Builder requires a school-level feature and lists online tiered campaigns, ordered by position. Its advocate lookup checks campaign school-advocate associations using the supplied email. Ordinary Advocacy Dashboard sharing has its own campaign state, visibility/prelaunch and dashboard settings. A page disappearing from sharing therefore does not prove the link-builder feature was disabled. Ask support to inspect both the exact page state and feature/configuration before enabling or promising consistent sharing.

Self-service tier link builder

The builder is campaign-specific. Its route is the campaign permalink plus /advocacy-link-builder under the institution route; it requires the institution's tiered Advocacy Link Builder feature and lists online tier pages. Identify the intended campaign and feature availability before providing a working link; do not invent a universal school-independent builder URL.

Advocate membership versus tier destination

An advocate's campaign association and the destination of a shared link are separate. Where the tier advocacy link builder is enabled, look up the advocate by email, choose an online tier destination and copy the generated tracked link. Confirm it opens the intended tier before sharing. Do not infer a tier destination from the advocate upload alone.
