CRM identifier in advocate import

This article covers GiveCampus campaign advocacy. Available controls depend on the campaign interface and enabled advocacy features.

Use the constituent’s stable identifier from your CRM/imported constituent data, not an arbitrary newly invented number. Download the current template: The advocate uploader expects constituent_id, while another workflow may label an identifier differently. That value is stored as the school advocate’s unique identifier and used to reconcile identities; do not rename the actual CSV header to external_id unless the selected importer requests it. Email/name fields and existing advocate matching also matter.
