Understand auction enablement and visibility controls

The event's Auctions capability cannot be switched off while the event has a non-draft auction. Auction settings have a separate enabled/publication transition: a scheduled or preview auction can return to draft, while a running auction cannot simply be disabled. Pausing or closing is not the same as making a catalog private. Ordinary draft auctions are excluded from public view, but live/paddle-raise types have distinct visibility rules. Identify the auction type, state and exact control before promising it will be hidden; support should review an already-running or specialized auction rather than deleting items or changing payment history to conceal it.
