A new GiveCampus password must have at least 12 characters, including an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a symbol. Enter the same value in confirmation when requested. Follow these requirements even if an older page suggests a shorter password. Maximum length varies between form controls and server validation; ask support about a long-password error on the exact screen.
For a GiveCampus password, use Forgot password? with the account's email address and follow the reset email. School SSO passwords belong to the school identity provider. The configured reset-link window and email specify 48 hours. An invalid reset token is a link-validation problem; changing the proposed password's complexity alone will not fix an invalid token. Request a fresh link through the official recovery page, use the newest email, and contact support if it still fails. Do not publish or forward reset tokens in ordinary support correspondence.
A recovery confirmation does not prove that the entered address belongs to an account or that the message was delivered. Check the address used, spam/quarantine and the time requested; support can investigate delivery. For an existing unconfirmed non-guest account, account recovery also resends confirmation instructions and asks you to confirm first. Do not repeatedly create replacement accounts to solve missing recovery emails.
If a former school email is inaccessible or another login has no gift history, ask support to verify identity and inspect the account/gift associations. A new login is not proof that historical gifts were transferred. A recurring-gift management link and password-reset link serve different purposes, so receiving one does not prove the other's delivery path worked. Never share the password, reset token or two-factor code.
