Monitor an internal competition without publishing its leaderboard

Publishing a custom leaderboard changes it from Draft to Online and enables the campaign custom-leaderboard display. It is not a private preview action, so do not publish briefly and assume visitors cannot see it. The custom-leaderboard list offers Publish/Unpublish and Modify, not a private live-results view. For an internal pilot, leave the board unpublished and use an authorized gift report filtered to the same affiliation/designation rules, counting donors consistently. If a live private dashboard rather than reporting is required, ask support to confirm a supported view for the actual campaign layout.
