First-time donor is not automatically fiscal-year non-donor

First-time-donor eligibility uses matched constituent/donor-status information, including an active status without a gift date. The check does not expose an arbitrary fiscal-year selector for the offer. Ask support to review the school's status configuration and definition of “new” before using it for an institution-defined fiscal-year non-donor population. Offline eligibility and imported history also need review. Do not substitute a directed email list without considering its automatic messages.

Unknown emails and first-time-donor matches

The ordinary online eligibility check first requires linked individuals, then a recorded prior donor status without a gift date or a linked person’s active has-not-given status. Merely using a new email does not guarantee eligibility. Different identities and imported history must be reconciled; institution-wide giving cannot be inferred from an unknown email.
