How to use
Open the campaign’s advocacy area and complete any offered sign-in or opt-in step. Copy the campaign-provided advocate link and share that exact link. Use the advocacy dashboard/page to view available impact information.
Campaigns can offer advocacy link building, personal videos, matches/challenges, and personal advocate pages. Schools can configure advocacy content and which advocates appear. Owner and administrator previews are excluded from page-view tracking in the newer advocate-page experience.
Troubleshooting
A generic campaign URL may not carry your advocate attribution. Confirm the shared link, campaign, account, and whether the page was published. Do not guarantee retroactive credit for gifts made through another link or give an undocumented attribution window.
Availability
Legacy FAQ sign-in instructions do not cover every newer school-advocate flow. If the screen differs, identify whether the supporter is using classic advocacy, an administrator-created advocate link, or a personal advocate page before giving exact steps.
Does the email sharing button send a message to my contacts?
No. On the campaign's advocate sharing controls, the email button copies your advocate link so you can paste it into an email. It does not open a GiveCampus bulk-email composer or send to your personal contacts automatically.
- Open the campaign and sign in to the advocate account if the page requests it.
- Find your advocate sharing link and use its email/copy control.
- Open your own email application, paste that link into your message, choose the intended recipients and send.
If the school supplied an email template, you can use its text in your message while keeping your own advocate link. An administrator sending personalized advocate links through GC Outreach is a separate school workflow; an advocate does not need administrator Outreach access to share their link.
