Archiving a form does not cancel recurring schedules

A giving form can be archived while recurring commitments remain; archiving changes the page state and does not itself cancel subscriptions. Recurring processing is not conditional on the associated project remaining unarchived. Observe existing backup/default-form archive locks and separately manage subscriptions if future payments should stop.

Archiving a form is not canceling its recurring gifts

The archive transition does not cancel subscriptions, and the scheduled recurring-charge selection does not exclude an otherwise eligible subscription merely because its form is archived. Do not use Archive as a way to stop installments. Subscription state, dates, payment validity, school service status and maintenance conditions still affect whether a charge succeeds. Confirm actual recurring records separately; this does not promise every future payment will succeed.

Archive a giving form while keeping existing recurring gifts

Archiving a giving form is separate from canceling its recurring subscriptions. The archive transition changes the page state, and the new-donation route handles archived pages separately. The recurring charge selection uses subscription state, payment dates, remaining charges and processor eligibility, without requiring the source page to remain online. Thus archiving the form does not itself cancel those existing schedules.

Use the giving form's Archive action when closing it to new gifts, then verify the public URL and the existing subscriptions' schedules. Do not cancel subscriptions if the donor intends them to continue. Charges still depend on valid payment details, subscription state and school/payment availability; this is not a guarantee every future payment succeeds. Reusing the page for a different purpose should be reviewed separately so historic gifts and recurring intent are not confused.
