Understand campaign totals, unique donors, maps, and statistics

Donation, offline-gift, match/challenge, joint-gift, and adjustment settings can affect what the public campaign displays, so compare like-for-like records.

Unique-donor count is not simply the number of gifts. For positive online gifts, GiveCampus deduplicates the lowercased payer-name and payer-email pair. Countable offline donors with both name and email are deduplicated against online donors and one another; offline donors without both values cannot be safely deduplicated and count individually. Qualifying joint-donor identities and configured adjustments are then added.

The U.S. donor heatmap uses location data to show where donors are coming from within the United States. Global heatmap and marker-map options visualize country-level activity. Address edits do not guarantee an immediate or retroactive map change for a particular gift.

Use the donation report to reconcile the included records and the match/challenge report for offer amounts.
