Configure pledges, commitments, installments, and payments

When the institution has pledge functionality, open Online Giving > Manage Gifts > Pledges to review commitments and payments. On eligible Giving Forms, configure pledge collection in Giving Experience > Form Settings & Display and preview the full flow before publishing.

A pledge or commitment is not the same as a captured gift. Reports should preserve the original commitment, scheduled or received payments, remaining balance, and their separate dates. For payroll-deduction or manual-payment pledges, use the supported schedule and payment recording controls rather than entering an online donation as a substitute.

Some alternative payment methods are not eligible for pledges. PayPal and DAFpay do not participate in pledge flows, and crypto is one-time.
