Enable event capabilities and use school-wide event tools

For an event using capability-based setup, open Events > [event] > Edit > Setup and enable only the experiences the event needs, such as waitlist, name tags, sequences, or auctions. The corresponding setup or operations link appears only when that capability, the institution feature, and the user's permission are all present.

Use Events > Events Overview for the school-wide events dashboard when enabled. Events > Venue Finder and Events > Events Widgets open GiveCampus-hosted companion tools in a new tab when those products are enabled. A missing link is an entitlement or feature-availability question, not evidence that the event itself is broken.

Capability choices affect the event's editor and public flow. Review ticketing, guest fields, email settings, and the public preview after changing them; enabling a capability does not configure its detailed settings automatically.
