Fix import mapping, transformation, validation, and failed-row errors

Open the failed run at School Dashboard > Data Import > Import History and download or review the error output. Fix the source row according to the reported field and rule. Common categories are missing required identifiers, unrecognized headers, invalid dates/numbers/booleans, values outside an allowed list, duplicate identifiers, and cross-field requirements.

If the institution can manage import configurations, use the configuration editor shown under Data Import to map source columns to GiveCampus fields and apply only supported transformations. Do not change a production mapping to accommodate one malformed file; correct the file or create an intentionally versioned configuration. Preserve a sample of the old layout and document the cutover date.

Validate leading zeros and date interpretation before retrying. Spreadsheet applications can silently convert identifiers to numbers and dates to locale-specific values.
