An authorized full administrator first grants GC Connect Access from the institution's administrator-management page. The user downloads GiveCampus Connect from Apple's App Store and signs in with the same email/password used for GiveCampus. If the user normally signs in through a social provider, create a GiveCampus password through the normal password-reset flow before using the app.
Charge the reader with its included cable—allow at least two hours before first use—and enable Bluetooth on the iPhone or iPad. In the app, open Reader > Discover Readers, identify the reader by the serial number on its back, and select it. A successfully paired older reader shows steady blue; a newer reader shows steady green when paired and flashes its first status light periodically in standby. Reader software updates install automatically during pairing when available, while app updates are installed from the App Store.
One reader connects to one mobile device at a time, and the app works only with GiveCampus-certified readers. The current in-code guidance supports iPhone/iPad on iOS 12 or later and requires reliable Wi-Fi or cellular data; test connectivity at an event location in advance. GC Connect is limited to U.S.-dollar transactions in the United States and GiveCampus's native payment-services setup.
