How It Works
Shared Views and Quick Views work together to help teams find the right people fast by reusing trusted filters. Administrators define reliable segments once, and users can access them across Constituents, Prospects, and Trip Planner without rebuilding filters each time.
Create a Shared View
Note: Only users with the GC GO Administrator permission can create Shared Views.
Starting in School Settings > Shared Views you will see a list of existing Shared Views.
To create a New View click on the button on the top right corner of the screen and, give it a clear, descriptive name like “DMV Area — Young Alumni,” and choose which teams should have access. Only users on those teams will see it. Set the order you want it to appear in their lists so the most important segments are easy to spot. Then define the criteria that shape the segment using the same filters available on the Prospects, Constituents, or Trip Planner pages.. When you save, the view becomes a consistent, reusable slice of your data that eligible users can rely on.
Make it a Quick View
When a segment is especially important, mark it as a Quick View so it appears in a dropdown at the top of key pages. This puts the segment one click away and removes the need to open the filter panel. Quick Views are best reserved for the filters you expect people to switch between frequently, like priority territories.
Using a Shared View or Quick View
Once a Shared View is saved, users on the selected teams will find it in the Saved Filters panel on Constituents, Prospects, and Trip Planner. If it’s also a Quick View, it shows up in the top-of-page dropdown for instant access. Selecting it immediately loads the matching people, and users can still layer on additional filters to refine results in the moment without changing the underlying shared definition.
Promote User-level Saved Filters to Quick Views
Users can also elevate their personal Saved Filters to Quick Views whenever speed matters. From the Filter side panel, click Manage Saved Filters, then if you’d like to make changes click the pencil icon. The dropdown updates right away, keeping the set of shortcuts focused on what’s most relevant this week.
