Overview
GC GO Trip Planning supports gift officers with organizing and executing in-person (and virtual) visits with donors and prospects.
1. Accessing Trip Planning
- Go to GC Gift Officer (GC GO)
- Navigate to “Trip Planner” on the left hand side navigation bar to view, create, or manage trips
2. Creating & Editing a Trip
- Click “Create Trip”
- Enter trip details: Name, start and end dates, description, location (free text in v1), and related info
- Trips can be edited or deleted later
3. Adding and Managing Visits
- Use the “Search Constituents” section to find and add prospective donors or contacts by name or by filter criteria. You can also select constituents from an updated list
- Click the “Add Visit” button to add the constituent to the trip. Mark each visit as “Tentative,” “Confirmed,” or “Declined”
- The “Tentative Visits” tab displays all the constituents tagged for the visit but not yet confirmed
- When in the “Tentative Visits” tab, move constituents between statuses as outreach progresses by clicking on their name and updating the status
- Remove or adjust tentative/confirmed visits anytime
4. Building Your Itinerary
- The “My Itinerary” tab displays all confirmed visits
- Add non-visit events (meetings, travel time, breaks)
- Itinerary shows title, start/end date, location, and event details
- You can email constituents directly from within GC GO
- Modify or delete any itinerary item as plans change
5. Export & Collaboration
- Share itineraries easily with colleagues via export options
- School-level views let admins see all trips and filter by gift officer under Schoolwide Data
- GC GO supports collaborative trip planning, allowing multiple officers to co-plan and manage trips by adding additional gift officers as secondary staff
