Cloning and Resending Emails in GC Outreach
If you need to send a follow‑up message identical to one sent earlier, clone the original email to create a new draft. Then, update the content before sending.
What cloning does (and doesn't) do
- Creates a new draft with the same content and settings as the original
- Cloned emails always begin as drafts, allowing you to edit before sending
- Recipients are not copied—you must re‑add segments or upload a recipient list
Clone a sent email
- Navigate to your sent outreach emails
- Find the email you want to resend
- Click the duplicate (stacked pages) icon next to the email
- Confirm the prompt: "Are you sure you want to clone [email name]?"
After cloning:
- A draft copy is created with the same content and settings
- Recipients must be re‑added
- Open the new draft to make edits before scheduling or sending
Tip: To resend to the same advocates, reuse the existing segment or re‑upload the same recipient list
Clone a draft email
- Navigate to your draft outreach emails
- Select the draft you want to copy
- Click the duplicate (stacked pages) icon
- Confirm the clone prompt
After cloning, the email remains a draft for you to edit before sending.
