Adding Links and Buttons to Post‑Payment Pages
Encourage donors to engage further after giving—such as checking the leaderboard or visiting a special page—by using links and buttons on your post‑payment page.
What you can and can't add on the post‑payment page
Post‑payment form text fields do not support HTML or hyperlinks.
Text entered in the "Post Submission Text" field displays as plain text only.
The maximum length for Post Submission Text is 500 characters.
Pasting an HTML link (for example, <a href="…">…</a>) or formatting text will display as unformatted text.
Add a clickable button with the matching gift URL field
Use the matching gift URL field to add a prominent, clickable button. Although designed for matching gifts, this field accepts any valid URL and works well for driving donors to your desired destination, such as a leaderboard, impact page, or school site.
When you enter a valid URL, the field automatically displays a clickable button on the post‑payment page, separate from your Post Submission Text.
How to set it up
Navigate to your campaign or form's display settings.
Enter a full, valid URL (including https://). For example:
https://www.yourschool.edu/givingday/leaderboard.Save your changes. The button will appear on the post‑payment page after donors complete their gift.
Tips:
Use a direct, mobile‑friendly URL to ensure donors land exactly where you want them to.
Consider actions like viewing the leaderboard, reading an impact story, or joining a challenge.
Alternative: include your link in the gift confirmation email
HTML is supported in your gift confirmation email. You can add clear, descriptive hyperlinks (for example, "See today's leaderboard") so donors can click directly from their inbox.
